Day 2O: A Day at Kerry Park
If you are in Seattle and haven’t been to Kerry Park, you must take a day to explore atop Queen Anne and find some of the most impressive views of Seattle. Kerry Park looks right out to Puget Sound with a one of a kind magnified view of Downtown. It’s a quaint park but, with views that will take your breath away. Start there at Kerry Park to snap some photos like the rest, and make your way east down Highland Dr. and drool over the historically affluent neighborhood. Beautiful mansions line the streets with tall well lived trees along the sidewalks. Continue to stroll down to Marshall Park, a landing a bit smaller than Kerry but with a panoramic view of the Sound and Magnolia. Sit on the benches there and take in the unobstructed scene. Then make your way around the bend of the road towards Lee for a broader view of the marina on Elliot Bay, Magnolia, and the Sound. Once you’ve worked up an appetite head west up Lee towards 4th and Galer for some delicious Molly Moon’s! Take your ice cream and meander through the charmed neighborhood setting. Honestly, if you haven’t yet discovered this most beautiful area of Seattle you are missing out big time! So don’t miss out and be sure to take a day to explore Kerry Park.
