Day 21: A Day at the Arboretum
Welcome this fall weather in with a day at the Arboretum. Tucked away by Lake Washington the Arboretum is made up of 230 acres of land and is home to more than 20,000 living plants, some of which aren’t found anywhere else in the PNW. The Washington Parks Arboretum is the perfect place for a relaxing stroll in fresh air filled with the aroma of thriving nature. Walk through the gardens of which there are plenty.
All are free of charge to explore except for the Japanese Garden which is at the southern end of the park. The fee isn’t too bad just around $6 and children 5 and under are free. There are also classes and activities perfect for the little ones hosted through the UW Botanical Gardens.The arboretum really offers something to everyone, it’s a beautiful escape right here in this great big city.
